Message Thanks for the help folks have already given. After my quick 3 lap trip to the local track, my clutch pedal basically screwed up. I fixed it and started the car and realized the idle sounded like crap out of the blue. I got my car home after a 40mile drive and found vacuum caps blown off.

After capping them again, the car still sounded really bad. The idle was jumping all over the place and is not steady. So, I took the driverside timing cover off. The car was almost aligned on the timing marks so I just moved it a few degrees more.

I just recently disconnected the battery to attempt to clear any ECU self-learning for the AF, but have not yet started it back up.

My question is: will the timing marks always align to the center pulley mark or is the center pulley only going to align every other revolution?

Look at the 3 marks in the photos. 2 of the sprockets line up, but the crank pulley looks like it should be at 0 TDC and it isn't. Now I'm wondering if something skipped @ the track. I really thought all would align. Do I need to go another fully revolution to see them align?

The front cover was already dinged before.

This one is tricky, but you can see the red dot and notch lining up to the rear timing cover dot.
